Forming entities and drafting their organizational documents; helping ownership resolve day-to-day legal issues that arise; drafting a wide range of documents; and assisting with merger and acquisition activities are just some of the functions Ryan regularly undertakes. Ryan’s goal is to be a trusted advisor and first point of contact for the businesses he serves.
Prior to joining Chuhak & Tecson, Ryan handled both transactional and litigation work. His litigation background enables him to better assist clients with evaluating the risks involved in pending and potential litigation. Ryan’s litigation background also has made him a better contract draftsman because he has seen how poor contract language exposes businesses to risk and drives up the cost of resolving contract disputes. He enjoys the challenges of developing solutions that will withstand scrutiny and the test of time.
Now at the firm, Ryan focuses on his transactional practice. In addition to the functions previously stated, Ryan assists his clients with protecting their intangible assets like trademarks, copyrights and data. He also advises clients in various finance transactions including life insurance premium financing loans and commercial real estate loans.
Ryan has an engineering background and likes problem solving, analyzing complex issues and developing creative solutions tailored to clients’ needs. He strives to provide his clients with full and frank analyses of the issues presented and with timely and cost-effective answers. He is patient, thorough and direct. Client service to Ryan means being available, responsive, understanding and efficient.
Active in firm activities, Ryan is currently a member of Chuhak & Tecson’s Technology Committee.
Away from the office, Ryan loves to read, exercise and, of course, spend time with his loved ones. During the winter months, he likes to get away to the mountains and ski. During the summer, he tries to spend as much time as possible outdoors hiking, running and just enjoying the warm weather.
