Known as a zealous advocate, Ashley prosecutes and defends actions involving claims related to breach of fiduciary duty, lack of capacity, undue influence, fraud and negligence on behalf of individual and institutional fiduciaries. She litigates other post-death estate challenges, such as contested heirship, accountings and claims.
Ashley’s practice also includes actions related to petitions for guardianship of adults with disabilities, including the prosecution and conversely defense of agents under powers of attorney accused of misconduct in connection with guardianship proceedings.
Frequently appointed by judges in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ashley often serves as Guardian Ad Litem in complex adult guardianship matters as well as defense counsel for adults with an alleged disability. Recognized as a leader in the trust and estate legal community, Ashley regularly presents seminars on an array of topics related to her practice area.
Ashley is an avid supporter of Misericordia Heart of Mercy and other organizations serving adults with disabilities in the Chicagoland area.
