As a member of Chuhak & Tecson’s Banking group, Amanda is a key player in representing secured and unsecured lenders, from community banks to midsized to large financial institutions. Amanda makes a priority of taking care of clients in a timely and cost-effective manner and looks for ways they can benefit from all that the firm has to offer.
Her practice largely involves workouts, commercial foreclosures, loan modifications, UCC matters, asset discovery and litigation regarding breaches of contract, replevin and other issues relating to banking or creditor rights. She also has experience in general business matters for corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. Amanda enjoys collaborating with attorneys in other practice groups to expand her knowledge base and bring her clients the most well-rounded service possible.
Recognized in law school for her excellence in legal writing, Amanda was already proving her talent for communications and managing client relationships during her previous career. As an account supervisor for a major pharmaceutical advertising agency, she was part of a team that brought a billion-dollar name-brand medication to market. She also clerked in the office of the Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, giving her a healthy understanding of how city government works.
Amanda served as the former chair of the Associate/Paralegal/Law Clerk Oversight Committee and now remains a member of the committee. She also served on the firm’s Marketing, Finance and Recruitment Committees. Amanda currently serves as an ambassador of the Women Helping Women program.
