Chuhak & Tecson welcomes Olive Wassen

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. is pleased to announce that Olive Wassen has joined the firm as an associate in the Estate & Trust Administration & Litigation, Estate Planning & Asset Protection and Elder Law practices.
Olive focuses on estate and trust administration, guardianship matters, estate planning, long-term care planning and a wide range of elder law issues. She provides thoughtful guidance to clients during some of the most challenging and emotionally stressful times in their lives and is dedicated to supporting her clients with care, understanding, empathy and respect.
“Olive comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in estate planning and elder law and is passionate about these areas of law,” said Mallory Moreno, principal and leader of the firm’s Elder Law practice. “Olive believes deeply in being a champion for her clients during sensitive and difficult times. Olive is committed to helping her clients find peace of mind, providing support and thoughtful, understandable communication though tough transitions and unforeseen circumstances. In her adult guardianship practice, Olive is particularly zealous to upholding the autonomy and dignity of the individuals she serves. Having extensively navigated the adult guardianship process, Olive brings an empathetic perspective, recognizing the importance of collaboration and ongoing support to those involved throughout their entire journey.
Olive devotes her time away from the office to her industry and to her community. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Attorneys (NAELA), a member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and a member of the Probate Practice Committee, Young Lawyers Section Estate Planning Committee and Elder & Disability Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, She is also an active volunteer of the Lupus Society of Illinois where she is a member of several committees and sits on the Associate Board.
