As a trusted advisor and an experienced banking attorney, principal Andrew Glubisz deftly handles a wide spectrum of transactional matters for lenders of all sizes, particularly those in the middle market.

Overview

He negotiates and drafts documents for all types of lending transactions, whether in the context of originations or refinances. Clients also know they can depend on Andrew to quickly and efficiently manage workouts, by way of forbearance agreements, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and loan modifications, as necessary. Lenders also come to him for due diligence and enforcement reviews for existing or prospective files.

With many years of experience as an attorney in the real estate industry, Andrew is also deeply knowledgeable about reviewing contracts, negotiating and drafting commercial leases, evictions, tax appeals, estate planning and probate. He has represented condominium associations in a variety of transactions and prepared incorporation and other organizational documents on behalf of corporate clients.

Having represented both borrowers and lenders in banking and real estate transactions, Andrew has developed a wide-angle view that makes him a trusted resource for clients. Lenders appreciate his straightforward advice and often look to him as a point person when approaching legal and property issues of many kinds.

As a proud and active member of Chicago’s Ukrainian-American community, Andrew makes a conscious effort to bring the influences of his heritage to work with him on a daily basis. Old-world values of hard work, accountability and looking out for fellow man continue to shape his 21st century legal practice. Long-lasting relationships with clients are the outgrowth of these values, and Andrew maintains good working relationships through mutually open communication. Clients know he is looking out for their interests. He puts a high priority on responding quickly to questions, meeting deadlines, keeping promises and providing exceptional service.

Andrew enjoys presenting instructional seminars for lender clients on loan documentation, title insurance and related issues. Active in firm activities, he previously served as the chair of Chuhak & Tecson’s Associate/Law Clerk Oversight Committee, as chair of the Professional Education Committee and was a member of the Business Development & Marketing Committee and Recruitment Committee. Andrew is currently an ombudsperson for the firm.

Andrew is deeply involved with the American Ukrainian Youth Association, where he serves as membership officer on the board of directors. Also a talented musician, he provided bass guitar and vocals for a successful rock band during college and law school.
